IAT from the UAE: a research pathway, not a backup

The IISERs admit through the IISER Aptitude Test into a five-year BS-MS programme, and the students who thrive there are the ones who chose science research deliberately. For a UAE family weighing medicine and engineering, IAT deserves a separate conversation rather than a late add-on.

IAT tests Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology together, with a strong emphasis on reasoning over recall. Our IAT track uses NEET-level Biology and JEE-level Physics and Mathematics as the base and adds IAT-pattern reasoning sets and previous year papers.

Seat numbers are small and the process is competitive, so we are explicit with UAE families about outcomes: IAT works best as a parallel target for a student already preparing seriously for NEET or JEE, not as a lighter alternative.

IAT from UAE: frequently asked questions

Can a student in the UAE appear for the IISER Aptitude Test?
Eligibility and centre details for IAT are published by the IISERs in the official admissions notification for each year, including any overseas or India-based centre requirements. Confirm the current cycle's rules before applying.
Do you teach IAT separately from NEET and JEE?
The science base is shared, but IAT-specific reasoning practice and previous year papers run as a dedicated module with its own test series.

Eligibility, exam centres, quotas and deadlines are set by the examination and counselling authorities and change between cycles. Always confirm details in the current official information bulletin.
