How to Prepare for NEET, JEE, BITSAT & IISER
A proven 10-step preparation blueprint — the same one Prepkunj mentors use to guide top-100 rankers every year.
- 1
Understand the exam blueprint
Before touching a single formula, read the latest official information brochure end-to-end — syllabus, marking scheme, negative marking, sectional cut-offs and eligibility. Print it and paste it above your study desk.
- 2
Master NCERT first (Class 11 & 12)
For NEET, JEE Main and IISER-IAT, NCERT is non-negotiable. Read every line of NCERT Biology (NEET) and NCERT Physics/Chemistry (all exams) — highlight every fact, table and diagram.
- 3
Build a 12-month, week-wise study plan
Break the syllabus into weekly targets, keep 1 revision week for every 6 study weeks and reserve the final 90 days for full-syllabus mock testing and error-log correction.
- 4
Solve Previous Year Papers (PYQs)
Work through the last 10 years of PYQs chapter-wise, then in full-mock mode. Track difficulty, question-type frequency and personal weak spots after every attempt.
- 5
Take timed full-length mock tests
One full mock every week from the T-6 months mark. Sit the mock at the exact exam time-of-day, in exam conditions, and analyse it for at least 2× the paper duration.
- 6
Maintain a mistake / error log
Every wrong answer goes into a single notebook with (a) why it was wrong, (b) the correct concept and (c) the rule to remember. Review it before every next mock.
- 7
Revise with active recall, not re-reading
Flashcards, self-quiz and blank-page recall beat highlighting. Space your revisions using the 1-day / 7-day / 30-day rule.
- 8
Protect sleep, nutrition and exercise
7–8 hours of sleep, 30 minutes of daily movement and a light protein-forward diet lift score more than the last 2 hours of grinding. Treat health as part of your prep timetable.
- 9
Get a mentor and a doubt-solving system
A weekly 20-minute mentor call and a same-day doubt channel compresses months of self-struggle. This is exactly what Prepkunj's 1:1 mentor and doubt forum are built for.
- 10
Simulate exam day 3× in the final month
In the last 30 days, do three complete dress rehearsals — same bag, same food, same 3-hour window — so the real exam feels routine, not new.
