What IAT preparation actually looks like in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar has the clearest institutional pull of any city in eastern India: IIT Bhubaneswar, NISER, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, SCB Medical in nearby Cuttack and NIT Rourkela in the same state. Students here often name a target institution in Class 11, which makes planning unusually concrete.
NISER's presence also means IAT and the basic-sciences route are properly understood by Bhubaneswar families — rare in India — and yet almost no local coaching prepares for it specifically.
The city's coaching market is the strongest in Odisha, but it concentrates on JEE and NEET volume. Students needing IAT, BITSAT or a single-subject correction generally have to look outside the city, which is where live online batches fit.
How we adapt the IAT plan for Bhubaneswar
With NISER in the city, IAT demand is real and local supply is not. We run IAT as a focused track covering all four subjects with IAT-pattern practice alongside an existing NEET or JEE plan.
Boards and schools in Bhubaneswar
CHSE junior colleges carry most Science students, alongside a strong CBSE cohort across the city's newer schools and the Kendriya Vidyalaya network.
Class timings that fit the school day
Junior-college and school hours end by mid-afternoon, with local coaching filling the late afternoon, so evening live batches sit cleanly after both.
Local challenges we plan around
- Local coaching optimises for JEE and NEET volume, leaving IAT and BITSAT aspirants unserved.
- CHSE depth gaps in Physics and Chemistry are often assumed away rather than diagnosed.
- Students carry board, OJEE and national entrance calendars simultaneously without a single plan.

IAT coaching in Bhubaneswar — frequently asked questions
- Can I prepare for IAT online from Bhubaneswar?
- Yes. PrepKunj teaches IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) entirely through live online classes, so students in Bhubaneswar follow the same syllabus plan, test series and doubt schedule as students anywhere else in India — without travelling to a coaching centre.
- What are the class timings for students in Bhubaneswar?
- Junior-college and school hours end by mid-afternoon, with local coaching filling the late afternoon, so evening live batches sit cleanly after both. Live batches are scheduled in that window, and every session is recorded so a late-running school day never costs a chapter.
- Are the classes live or recorded?
- Every class is taught live in a batch capped at 20 students. Recordings are provided afterwards for revision, but the teaching itself is never a pre-recorded playlist.
- Is this suitable for a Class 11 student in Bhubaneswar?
- Yes. The two-year programme starts in Class 11 and covers the full IAT syllabus with three revision cycles. Class 12 students and droppers follow the one-year structure instead.
- Do students from the The CHSE Odisha stream covers most Science students through the junior-college system stream need extra support?
- The state's constraint is distribution rather than ambition. Serious classroom coaching is concentrated in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, so a student in Sambalpur, Balasore or Berhampur either relocates or settles for whatever is locally available. Live online batches remove that geography problem without removing the family structure that keeps preparation stable. We run a diagnostic and, where needed, an NCERT alignment module before the main sequence begins.
- Is doubt support available between classes?
- Yes. Daily doubt-solving hours run alongside the class schedule, and students can reach their mentor between sessions rather than waiting for the next class.
- Does PrepKunj provide mock tests and previous year papers for IAT?
- Yes. A graded test series with chapter-level error analysis is included, along with previous year papers and solutions in the free resources section.
- Can parents in Bhubaneswar monitor progress?
- Yes. Parents receive periodic progress reports and can request a parent-teacher call; chapter-level progress is also visible in the student panel.
- Does PrepKunj have a coaching centre in Bhubaneswar?
- No. PrepKunj is an online platform serving students across India. We offer online IAT coaching for students in Bhubaneswar rather than a physical centre.
- What does IAT coaching cost?
- Group programmes are ₹99,000 + GST for the two-year plan, ₹60,000 + GST for the one-year plan and ₹34,500 (incl. GST) for the 90-day crash course. One-on-one premium mentoring is $15 per hour.
Eligibility, exam dates, centres and counselling rules are set by the examination authorities and change between cycles. Always confirm details in the current official information bulletin.
