What NEET preparation actually looks like in Guwahati

Guwahati is the academic centre of the Northeast. Students from across Assam and from Meghalaya, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura prepare here, and the city's own cohort is large — supported by IIT Guwahati, AIIMS Guwahati, Gauhati Medical College and Cotton University all being visible, reachable targets.

Local coaching has grown quickly, but faculty with sustained national NEET and JEE benchmark experience remain scarce, and students often discover the gap only when they see a first all-India mock rank in Class 12.

Guwahati also has practical academic disruption most years from flooding and travel, so recorded classes and a plan that can absorb lost weeks without derailing the syllabus are requirements rather than conveniences.

How we adapt the NEET plan for Guwahati

Our Guwahati NEET plan opens with an AHSEC-to-NCERT mapping and a national-benchmark diagnostic, then leads with Physics numericals while Biology moves onto spaced revision.

Because attendance is genuinely disrupted some weeks, every session is recorded and the weekly plan is rebuilt around missed blocks rather than left to drift.

Local challenges we plan around

• Faculty with national benchmark experience are limited outside a handful of institutes.
• Monsoon flooding and travel disruption cost school and coaching weeks most years.
• AHSEC-stream students need an explicit NCERT bridge in Physics and Chemistry.

NEET coaching in Guwahati — frequently asked questions

Can I prepare for NEET online from Guwahati?

Yes. PrepKunj teaches NEET-UG entirely through live online classes, so students in Guwahati follow the same syllabus plan, test series and doubt schedule as students anywhere else in India — without travelling to a coaching centre.

What are the class timings for students in Guwahati?

School and junior-college hours end by mid-afternoon; travel across the city is slow in the rains, so evening live classes from home are the dependable option. Live batches are scheduled in that window, and every session is recorded so a late-running school day never costs a chapter.

Are the classes live or recorded?

Every class is taught live in a batch capped at 20 students. Recordings are provided afterwards for revision, but the teaching itself is never a pre-recorded playlist.

Is this suitable for a Class 11 student in Guwahati?

Yes. The two-year programme starts in Class 11 and covers the full NEET syllabus with three revision cycles. Class 12 students and droppers follow the one-year structure instead.

Do students from the AHSEC covers most Science students in the state stream need extra support?

The state has a real advantage in institutional proximity — IIT Guwahati, AIIMS Guwahati, Gauhati Medical College, NIT Silchar and Tezpur University — and a real disadvantage in teaching supply. Outside Guwahati, faculty who have taught to the national NEET and JEE benchmark are scarce, and students often discover that only when they see their first national mock rank. We run a diagnostic and, where needed, an NCERT alignment module before the main sequence begins.

Is doubt support available between classes?

Yes. Daily doubt-solving hours run alongside the class schedule, and students can reach their mentor between sessions rather than waiting for the next class.

Does PrepKunj provide mock tests and previous year papers for NEET?

Yes. A graded test series with chapter-level error analysis is included, along with previous year papers and solutions in the free resources section.

Can parents in Guwahati monitor progress?

Yes. Parents receive periodic progress reports and can request a parent-teacher call; chapter-level progress is also visible in the student panel.

Does PrepKunj have a coaching centre in Guwahati?

No. PrepKunj is an online platform serving students across India. We offer online NEET coaching for students in Guwahati rather than a physical centre.

What does NEET coaching cost?

Group programmes are ₹99,000 + GST for the two-year plan, ₹60,000 + GST for the one-year plan and ₹34,500 (incl. GST) for the 90-day crash course. One-on-one premium mentoring is $15 per hour.

Eligibility, exam dates, centres and counselling rules are set by the examination authorities and change between cycles. Always confirm details in the current official information bulletin.
