What CBSE actually tests
CBSE Classes 8 to 12 are the academic spine that every entrance exam sits on. A student who is genuinely secure in NCERT Class 11 and 12 has already done most of the conceptual work NEET, JEE, BITSAT and IAT require — which is why we treat board preparation as an investment in the entrance result rather than a distraction from it.
The board paper itself has shifted meaningfully towards competency-based questions, case studies and assertion-reason items, which reward understanding over reproduction. Students who prepare only from guidebooks and sample answers tend to lose exactly those marks.

CBSE releases a rationalised syllabus and sample paper set each session. We teach against the current NCERT edition and the current year's sample paper blueprint, because the marking scheme changes more often than the content does.
Eligibility
Who can appear for CBSE
- Open to students enrolled in a CBSE-affiliated school for the corresponding class.
- Class 10 and 12 board candidates must meet the 75% attendance requirement set by the board.
- Practical and internal assessment components must be completed to be eligible for the theory result.
- Private and compartment candidates appear under the board's separate notified categories.

Marking scheme
Section-wise marking with internal choice in longer questions rather than overall choice. Step marking applies in numerical and derivation questions, which is why writing the intermediate step matters even when the final answer is wrong.

CBSE — frequently asked questions
- Do board marks matter if I am targeting NEET or JEE?
- Yes. NIT, IIIT and IIT admission through JoSAA requires 75% in Class 12 or a top 20 percentile position, and BITS requires 75% in PCM with 60% in each subject. Board marks are an eligibility gate, not a formality.
- Can I prepare for boards and entrance exams at the same time?
- Yes, and separating them wastes effort. The NCERT content is shared; the difference is the question style. We schedule a dedicated board-format block before pre-boards and keep entrance practice light during that window.
- Is NCERT enough for CBSE boards?
- For content, yes. For marks, you also need the current sample paper blueprint and practice in the board's answer format, especially for case-based and assertion-reason questions.
- Which classes do you teach?
